What It Means

What the Mark Represents

The certification mark indicates that your management system has been assessed and certified against a specific standard, for a specific scope. It is a mark of management system certification – it does not certify, and must never be used to imply certification of, a specific product, process or service.

Allowed

Permitted Use

Marketing & stationery: the mark may be used on stationery, marketing material, your website and vehicles, provided it is reproduced accurately and without alteration to its design, colours or proportions.
Reference on request: where used, the mark should be accompanied, on request, by a reference to the standard and certificate number it relates to.
Within your current scope: the mark must only be used for the scope actually covered by your current, valid certificate.
Not Allowed

Prohibited Use

Not on products: the mark must not be placed on a product, its packaging, or on a test, calibration or inspection report in a way that could be interpreted as product certification.
Never misleading: the mark must not be used in any way that could mislead interested parties about the nature, scope or validity of certification.
Not on nonconforming work: the mark must not be used on a document relating to a nonconforming or uncertified activity.
Important

Suspension, Withdrawal or Expiry

If certification is suspended, withdrawn, or allowed to expire, all use of the certificate and mark must stop immediately, and any related claims of certification must be removed from marketing material, signage, stationery and websites.

Misuse of the certificate or mark may result in corrective action being required, suspension or withdrawal of certification, and, where appropriate, legal action.
