Independent UK Certification Body

Road Traffic Safety Management Certification

Traffic accidents are one of the most frequent causes of injury and death worldwide. ISO 39001:2012 sets out a Road Traffic Safety (RTS) management system to help organisations that interact with the road transport system minimise deaths and severe traffic incidents. International Assessment Bureau carries out independent, impartial audits against the standard and issues certification that confirms the reliability and consistency of your RTS management system.

Background

About ISO 39001

International Assessment Bureau is an independent certification body based in the UK. According to the World Health Organisation, injury from road collisions is the eighth leading cause of death worldwide, with an estimated 1.3 million or more deaths each year. ISO 39001:2012 was developed to give organisations a practical framework for reducing that toll, setting out specifications that assist in the development and execution of effective RTS policies, goals and strategies.

Shipping providers, fleet owners and other organisations responsible for road transport often look to minimise traffic incidents to reduce maintenance and liability costs as well as improve public safety. ISO 39001 can also be combined with existing management systems such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 to simplify operations. ISO itself issues no certification or conformity test directly - it develops the standards through a consensus-based process involving technical committees, industry experts, consumer organisations and national standards bodies. Certification against ISO 39001 is carried out by certification bodies such as International Assessment Bureau. If you are planning to get your organisation certified, get in touch with our team and we will walk you through exactly what is required for your sector and scope.
